Nationally, waste diversion remains a persistent challenge: the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's most recent figures show that only about 32 percent of municipal solid waste generated in the country is recycled or composted, while roughly half still ends up in landfills. The agency has set a goal of lifting the national recycling rate to 50 percent by 2030.
Junk King Anaheim's Yorba Linda expansion responds to that landfill gap. As company owner Lee Turrini explains, Junk King Anaheim is aiming to recycle, donate or repurpose as much as 60 percent of what its crews collect rather than sending it straight to a transfer station. He also added that at 18 cubic yards, their trucks are 20 percent larger than the standard junk removal trucks (12 to 16 cubic yards), which helps Junk King Anaheim's crews complete more junk removal jobs and large property cleanouts faster and more efficiently.
"Every home we clear out is a chance to keep usable items out of the landfill," said Junk King Anaheim owner Lee Turrini. "Bringing same-day junk removal service to Yorba Linda means local families and business owners get their space back quickly, while much of what we haul away is recycled, donated or repurposed."
Pricing is based on space used, with written estimates provided before all jobs. Same-day junk removal appointments are now available across Yorba Linda seven days a week.
